La morte sul lavoro di un giovane portuale di Marghera
convince il collega e amico Toni a partecipare a una trasmissione
televisiva e a confrontarsi con l'impopolare ministro Gerardi. Il pudore
e la naturale timidezza impediscono al ragazzo di ribattere e di
rivendicare il proprio diritto alla sicurezza. Fuggito e inseguito da
Marilu', una giornalista sensibile e disponibile a dare voce ai
perdenti, Toni incontra fortuitamente Pepe, istruttore Isef precario col
sogno della supplenza, e Ramon, scarcerato disilluso a un passo
dall'infarto. Grandi sognatori, votati a un piu' modesto destino,
decidono di sequestrare Gerardi e di risarcire coi soldi del riscatto il
dolore della vedova di Marghera. Ma niente andra' secondo i piani
stabiliti...
